So here is what I've managed to figure out from this upstart. This is far easier to manage than a phpBB forum site like the last one, and also doesn't require us to get our own server and domain to host, which is a plus. As far as privacy goes, there is work currently being done to include private & public forums, which should be done within the next few weeks. For now it would be a good idea to register and get people on here; you can only be a member to post.
Then webmaster will get it and fuck it up anyway, but hey, I'm trying here.
